SPCB renewal planning: questions to resolve before filing
Work through validity, changes, evidence and submission responsibilities with the actual consent order.
What exactly is being renewed?
Read the current order and list its scope, validity and conditions. Identify whether the site has changed its capacity, products, process, fuels or pollution-control arrangements. A renewal may not cover every change. Confirm the appropriate renewal or amendment route with the relevant board and retain the basis for the decision.
Which dates and records should be used?
Use the current order and current state-specific instructions for filing dates and supporting records. Build an internal preparation timetable with enough time to correct evidence gaps. Monitoring records, control-equipment logs, waste documentation and earlier query responses should reconcile with the application rather than being attached without review.
How should the submission be controlled?
Name the preparer, reviewer and authorised signatory. Keep the submitted version, receipt and query log in one indexed file. Follow up on unresolved queries and continue monitoring the conditions of the existing order. An application acknowledgement is a record of submission; do not describe it as an approval.
